This site has been around since 2015. From a user standpoint, I wouldn’t say this is the best front-end experience. The outdated design lack of ability to search by time-zone may have you applying for a posting that will require you to get up earlier than expected. You can search by worldwide location, which is nice, as well your area of expertise, salary range or benefits. The job options seem to change often so you’ll want to make sure you bookmark it and view their listings often.

2: People First Jobs

This job board has a different philosophy than most job boards I run across. Their whole focus is to match people with the right company’s rather than first looking at the right job. You can fall in love with a job posting, but not be a good fit for a company or their values and it’s important to know the difference. On their about me it says:

“We believe that most job boards have it wrong. Instead of searching for a role, you should seek out a company. This is a new kind of job board, focused on helping job seekers find companies who put people first.”

3: 4-Day Workweek

If you must work for someone for a living, why not do it in 4 days so you have more freedom to go out and live your life. This website lets you search by location and focuses on sharing jobs that offer a 32-hour work week at 100% salary giving you more of a work life balance. Sounds like a win-win to me.

They have been around since 2013. With over 4.5 million visitors they are one of the largest remote friendly job posting websites.

5: Just Remote

On this website you will be able to discover fully or partially remote jobs working remotely. You can filter roles by location, and their virtual job board clearly highlights whether positions have specific country or time overlap requirements.

6: Virtual Vocations

Virtual Vocations features telecommuting positions in a wide range of fields from data entry, writing jobs, education, software development and more.

7: Upwork

Upwork is one of the world’s largest freelancing platform, offering various contract gigs, including long-term project work.

8: Freelancer

This site offers over 2700 different catageoris for you to jump in and do some research. It's free to sign up, create a profile, select skills of projects you are interested in, upload a portfolio, receive project notifications, discuss project details with the employer, bid on projects (free members receive initially 6 bids per month) and enter contests. You can also purchase optional bid upgraded. There are fees involved when you accept a job so make sure you understand it all.

9: Fiverr

With Fiverr you can sign up and create a page where people find you and hire you according the rates you post on your page. If you are a pro at what you do, you can sign up to be a Fiverr Pro and get extra persk for solicting your services. They also have a lot of support and trainings for you to look over. You'll find these resources at the bottom of their website.

While this platform may not have a huge selection to chose from they have put in the time to carefully curate their listings so it makes it easy for you to find what you're looking for. If you're a designer, developer or creative pro, this may be for you!

There you have it, here are 10 resources for you to go through and see if you can find a position, or two that will work for you.

Now before you get started, make sure your resume is up to date. If you're applying for a creative or writing position, you're going to want to make sure your portfolio is ready to share.

Don't stay with just these job boards. If you do a Google search for remote jobs there will be tons for you to surve through. Every website you surf though could have a potential remote job waiting for you to apply for, so make sure you do some research.
